We at Cloudeya Limited ("Cloudeya") know you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy. By using or accessing our website (the "Website") in any manner, you acknowledge that you accept the practices and policies outlined in this Privacy Policy, and you hereby consent that we will collect, use, and share your information in the following ways.
This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of personally identifiable information ("Personal Information") that we gather when you are accessing or using our Website, but not to the practices of companies we don't own or control, or people that we don't manage. We gather various types of Personal Information from our users, as explained in more detail below, and we use this Personal Information internally in connection with our Website, including to personalize, provide, and improve our services, to allow you to set up a user account and profile, to contact you and allow other users to contact you, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, and to analyze how you use the Website. In certain cases, we may also share some Personal Information with third parties, but only as described below.
We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not attempt to register for the Website or send any personal information about yourself to us. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 13 may have provided us personal information, please contact us.
We're constantly trying to improve our Website, so we may need to change this Privacy Policy from time to time as well, but we will alert you to changes by placing a notice on www.cloudeya.org, by sending you an email, and/or by some other means. Please note that if you've opted not to receive legal notice emails from us (or you haven't provided us with your email address), those legal notices will still govern your use of the Website, and you are still responsible for reading and understanding them. If you use the Website after any changes to the Privacy Policy have been posted, that means you agree to all of the changes. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected.
We receive and store any information you knowingly provide to us. For example, we may collect Personal Information such as your name, email address, phone number, company and inbound questions or messages you send to us. Certain information may be required to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.
We may communicate with you if you've provided us the means to do so. For example, if you've given us your email address, we may send you promotional email offers on behalf of other businesses, or email you about your use of the Website. Also, we may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us. This confirmation helps us make our communications with you more interesting and improve our services. If you do not want to receive communications from us, please indicate your preference by unsubscribing per the instructions in our email communications or by contacting us.
Information Collected AutomaticallyWhenever you interact with our Website, we automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser or device, which may include your IP address, geolocation data, device identification, "cookie" information, the type of browser and/or device you're using to access our Website, and the page or feature you requested. "Cookies" are identifiers we transfer to your browser or device that allow us to recognize your browser or device and tell us how and when pages and features in our Website are visited and by how many people. You may be able to change the preferences on your browser or device to prevent or limit your device's acceptance of cookies, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of some of our features.
If you click on a link to a third party website or service, a third party may also transmit cookies to you. Again, this Privacy Policy does not cover the use of cookies by any third parties, and we aren't responsible for their privacy policies and practices. Please be aware that cookies placed by third parties may continue to track your activities online even after you have left our Website, and those third parties may not honor "Do Not Track" requests you have set using your browser or device.
We may use this data to customize content for you that we think you might like, based on your usage patterns. We may also use it to improve the Website – for example, this data can tell us how often users use a particular feature of the Website, and we can use that knowledge to make the Website interesting to as many users as possible.
Information We Collect in Our AppWhen you register for and use our app, we collect the information you give us, such as your name, email address and any messages you send to us. We also collect information automatically, which can include a device or install identifier, your IP address, approximate location, and details of the surveys you open and complete. We use this information to create and secure your account, keep your reward balance accurate, pay your rewards, and improve the app.
Cookies, Tracking and Your ChoicesWe and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to recognise your device, keep you signed in, remember your preferences and measure how the app and Website are used. You can control cookies through your browser or device settings, though some features may stop working if you do. We ask for your consent before we use non-essential cookies or tracking where the law requires it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time.
When you buy something in one of our apps, the platform you downloaded it from, such as Apple or Google, processes the payment and acts as the seller for the purchase. We do not collect, store or transmit your debit or credit card details. The platform shares limited information with us, such as an order reference, the item you bought and the country of purchase, so we can confirm the purchase and unlock the content you paid for.
Card data stays inside the platform's own environment, along with any payment provider the platform uses. Compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) rests with Apple, Google and their payment providers, and not with Cloudeya Limited.
Some of our apps pay rewards, and Reward Voice is one of them. When you cash out, we use a payment partner, such as PayPal, to send the money. The partner collects and holds the payment details you give them directly, may carry out identity checks where the law requires it, and we do not store your bank or card details. Our Terms of Use set out the purchase and payout terms in more detail.
We may share your Personal Information with third parties only as described in this section, and only in the categories and for the purposes set out below.
Service Providers and AgentsWe use other companies and people to run parts of our service on our behalf. These include hosting, analytics and market research providers. They process your information on our instructions and only as far as needed to provide the service to you. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Market Research and Survey PartnersWhen you choose to take part in a survey or research task in our app, we share the information needed to present the survey, confirm completion and credit your reward. This can include a device or install identifier, your survey responses and limited technical data such as your IP address. These partners use the information for market research and to report results to their clients. They do not receive your name or contact details unless you give them those details directly.
AnalyticsWe use analytics to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. Where we can, we aggregate or de-identify this data, and we do not use it to identify you as an individual.
De-Identified InformationWe may de-identify your Personal Information so nobody can identify you as an individual, and share it with our partners. We may also share aggregate usage information. We never share de-identified or aggregate information in a way which identifies you.
Affiliated BusinessesIn certain situations, businesses or third party websites we are affiliated with may sell or provide products or services to you through or in connection with the Website (either alone or jointly with us). You can recognise when an affiliated business is associated with a transaction or service, and we share your Personal Information with that affiliated business only as far as it relates to that transaction or service. We have no control over the policies and practices of third party websites or businesses, so if you take part in any transaction or service relating to an affiliated website or business, please review all such policies.
Business TransfersWe may choose to buy or sell assets, and may share or transfer customer information as part of evaluating and entering those transactions. If we, or our assets, are acquired, or if we go out of business, enter bankruptcy or go through some other change of control, Personal Information could be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party.
Protection of Cloudeya Limited and OthersWe reserve the right to access, read, preserve and disclose any information we reasonably believe necessary to comply with law or a court order, to enforce or apply other agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Cloudeya Limited, our employees, our users or others.
We endeavor to protect the privacy of your account and other Personal Information we hold in our records, but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee complete security. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of user information at any time.
You may access or request the deletion of your Personal Information by contacting us. Some information may remain in our records after your deletion of such information from your account. We may use any aggregated data derived from or incorporating your Personal Information after you update or delete it, but not in a manner that would identify you personally.
The information you can view, update, and delete may change as the Website changes. If you have any questions about viewing or updating information we have on file about you, please contact us.
Under the DPA (Data Protection Act) 2018 and UK GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), United Kingdom residents are entitled to contact us to prevent disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for such third parties' direct marketing purposes; in order to submit such a request, please contact us.
You can always opt not to disclose information to us, but keep in mind some information may be needed to register with us or to take advantage of some of our features.
You may be able to add, update, or delete information as explained above. When you update information, however, we may maintain a copy of the unrevised information in our records.
We process your Personal Information on one or more of these lawful bases: to perform our contract with you (running your account and paying rewards), your consent (marketing and non-essential tracking), our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and improving it), and to comply with legal obligations.
We keep your Personal Information only as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy, and then delete or anonymise it. Where our partners process information outside the United Kingdom, we take steps to ensure it receives an equivalent level of protection, using approved safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our privacy policies, please send a detailed message to us, and we will try to resolve your concerns.
